Thank you for the fabulous accommodations. Your condo is a perfect setting for our family with its quiet location and close proximity to the excitement of the city. We ventured out (north and south) most mornings, hung by the beach and pool in the afternoons and went to PV in the evenings for a little shopping and delicious dinners. Your condo was very well equipped and comfortable. We appreciated the boogie boards and leftover sunscreen! The only thing you might want to include is a guest book (handy for dining and entertainment tips). We loved having a washer/dryer and found that next year we would pack even lighter.

As we unlocked the beautiful carved front door we truly felt like we were just coming home again and not just a 2 week rented condo! Everything was spotlessly clean and decorated with a colorful tropical theme. The owners have tried to anticipate every need for comfort, relaxation and fun such as games, books, movies, excellant tv's in 3 rooms, beach floats & gear(not allowed in pool) even a ping-pong set to use on the table down stairs. The master king size bed was so comfortable with soft white linens and large pillows. The kitchen is very well equiped, even for a picky cook like me and completed with an electric grill on the large balcony. The views and ocean sounds are just awesome and the Punta Negra beach perfect for walking or running! The large pool was heated as the evenings turned cooler and the patio area is beautiful and well maintained. The entire staff was so very helpful and courteous and there is an elevator in the building. The bus stops in front for those fun colorful trips to restaurants and grocery stores in town. A new resort with an excellant beautiful restaurant for dinner has opened just around the corner (3 minute bus ride) called Blanca Blue, don't try to walk, as there are many crazy speeding cars and not much room on the side of highway. We did not try it but saw it and heard good comments. There are so many super wonderful restaurants in PV and just a few of our favorite medium priced restaurants after many years of vacationing there are Archie's Wok, La Piazzetta, Tapas Barcelona and Lindo Mar's La Playita. There are many more high ended restaurants to experience also! Owners Arlene & Allen are very prompt to respond to any problem or question you might have either by phone or email and very reliable with money transactions. This was an excellant experience and we look forward to our next visit for an even longer stay!

We were fortunate enough to stay here for 10 glorious days end of Sept-Oct '09. The place far exceeded our expectations. This was our first time using "homeaway.com" or anything similar to that for planning our trips, we typically do cruises and book online. All the reviews I had read before booking were not only helpful and true The ocean at your front door was worth its weight in gold. Catching the bus just across the street and being dropped within walking distance of a grocery store was so convenient to be able to buy groceries for a couple days at a time. You can do as much or as little that you want. We went into town and booked a couple of tours with no hassle. The front desk/security was always courteous and helpful. I could go on and on. Bottom line is that you won't be disappointed. I am already trying to fit another visit into my schedule.

To begin, I should mention that we have stayed at a number of vacation rentals by owner throughout the USA, Canada, and Europe. For the most part they have been fine, but usually there are one or two small unexpected issues - perhaps the internet photos of the apartment are a bit deceptive, or the location might be not as great as advertised ... so we were anticipating the same with this condo.

We stayed at Casa del Rey for a week in mid April 2009, and we could not have asked for anything more. Everything either met or exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff at the front desk went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable and that any questions we had were answered. (Doris, who is the manager, even personally showed us the way to the grocery store in town.)

The condo itself is lovely, very spacious, clean, and well appointed. If anything, it is even more appealing than the website photographs are able to convey. There is a light, airy feel to the very comfortable rooms, and the beachfront terrace is a great place to relax or to have a meal. We loved having the modern kitchen to prepare some great dinners ... there are enough dishes, pans, tools, and small appliances to allow the creation of just about anything one can imagine.

The bus into Puerto Vallarta stops right across the road, making it easy to venture into town ... but we actually enjoyed the beauty of the beach and the pool so much, we stayed close to "home" much of the time.

Arlene even called once to make sure we were comfortable and that everything was okay - which it certainly was. I think the only "bad" part of the vacation at Casa del Rey was having to leave at the end of our stay. We hope to return next year, and would recommend this condo to anyone looking for a great vacation."

Dear Arlene,

We wanted to write you and tell how very much we enjoyed your lovely condo. You have such a great location on the beach, and we liked being out of town just a bit. You seem to have stocked your condo with everything a person could possibly want on vacation, right down to the "swim noodles" in the closet! The staff are wonderful, and all in all, this was just a really great experience. We're already trying to figure out how we can make sure we can come down again next year!

Hi Arlene

Better late than never they say. Our trip was absolutely fantastic, and that's what I have been saying ever since we arrived home. Your place was, well I'm speechless, when we walked in I thought I had died and gone to heaven, I told Darrell it was going to take the two weeks there to get the smile off my face. We loved that location, very private. but took advantage of the ease of slipping to town on the bus. We rented a car for a couple days and went up the coast on both sides. As far as San Francisco the first day, and we tried to drive to Telapa on the other end, don't ask, we actually got pretty close we discovered when we took a water taxi there and got talking to some locals. We shopped, we walked, we read, we watched the lovely whales, definitely the highlight for me, we met a few of your neighbours at the condo, they were very nice, we had lots and lots of terrific food and we explored lots, I can't thank you enough for what I am calling the best vacation we have ever had. We will definitely be back to PV and if you will have us when that time comes I can't think of anywhere I would rather stay, I think we hit perfection the first try.

We had a great time in Vallarta and found our stay at Casa Del Rey very enjoyable. Doris was very helpful , as was the rest of the staff. I would like to have a "journal" there that previous renters could write in some "tips" from there stay on things such as : restaurants they enjoyed, bus and taxi tips, daytrips they may have found extra enjoyable, and some general comments maybe. Not necessary, but think it may be helpful....and fun.

We saw quite a bit of whale activity and spent lots of time on the wonderful balcony. Had everything we needed at our fingertips! Enjoyed the "Rhythms of the Night" dinner and show one night and several great restaurants in town. Otherwise enjoyed our own private balcony table most nights!

Thank you for sharing you lovely condo...and for personal touch in helping us with our plans. Nice of you to check in with us. Would rent again if back to PV.

Terri couldn't have said it any better. Casa Del Rey was wonderful and we spent many mornings and evenings on the balcony overlooking the beach and ocean. Very relaxing!! The condo itself was roomy and well equiped for everyday needs. As I look out my living room window and see the snow falling, I certainly wish I was back at Casa Del Rey!!

This was our first time renting a condo while in Mexico and we were not disappointed in our choice. This property is beautiful and exactly as described on the website. The bedrooms are gorgeous and very private, perfect for two couples. It is about a ten minute cab ride from downtown and 35 minutes from the airport. It is located on a quiet secluded beach (no venders) that is perfect for swimming, body surfing and lounging. The pool is well maintained and spotless. You are so close to the surf that we had to actually close the patio doors at night as it was so loud. The complex is clean, well maintained and secure. The staff was very helpful and responded to our needs in a timely and efficient manner. The owner provided great service and took interest in our comments. There are really no restaurants or stores located nearby so stocking the pantry is a must, although the kitchen is well equipped and has most of the basics you will need to prepare your meals. Having a washer/drier on property is very cool as you do not have to take all that extra clothing for your stay. The staff can assist you in booking activities through Vallarta Adventures and everything we did was first class through this agency. Highly recommend using Vallarta Adventures for your fun. We practically lived on the gorgeous deck and the condo is a two minute walk to the beach. The satellite TV is interesting as it is Canadian and there is no ESPN which drove my sports fanatic friend nuts, but since we never watched TV it did not bother us. We highly recommend this property to people looking for a relaxing vacation while still offering many activities if one desires. Had a great time, will go back.

Outstanding Vacation Spot

I went with my Family, Husband and 2 teenage dautghers over the Christmas Holidays for a 2 week vacation. We loved the condo, it was the perfect home base after our day's activities to come back to and relax. The condo is very spacious and comfortable. The beach right in front, perfect for swimming, sun tanning or lunging by the pool. Breathtaking sunsets and beautiful memories for us All.

We had a great time in PV and your Casa Del Rey condo was perfect. As we walked into your condo we were so impressed that it was everything as advertised and even better than the pictures on your website. The condo is such a great oasis from the busy streets and beaches of PV and with all the comforts of home. After getting the lay of the land, we felt that your condo is located on the best beach in PV; great sand, great surf, quiet and relaxing. Security and front desk folks were always helpful and friendly. What a great touch to have ceiling fans installed on the outdoor balcony. This made for hours of much needed relaxing cool down time.

A great get-a-way for us and we can't thank you enough for providing exceptional accommodations!

This Casa has all the comforts of home plus the sounds and beauty of the fabulous serene beach of Punta Negra! From the wonderful balcony we enjoyed watching the ocean wildlife, especially in the morning, and the rolling waves with their calming sound! The sunsets are spectacular! We had every meal, a.m. coffee and evening "happy hour" on the large balcony! It has a table, 4 chairs, 2 chaise lounges and an excellent electric grill.

The kitchen is very well equipped and all the great restaurants are only a 10 minute bus ride away. The bus stops right in front of the building. Every room has air conditioning, if needed, and fans,but we especially enjoyed leaving the door open for the breeze and hearing the sound of the waves. The large heated pool and surrounding patio is very clean and beautiful with palm trees and plants and many places to sit in the sun or shade. People in the building, manager, owners and renters were very friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to our next visit and plan to stay much longer in this special Casa!.

Very nice oceanfront condo. Loved falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves crashing. Pretty beach. Very easy to catch the bus across the street to go to town. Staff was helpful and friendly. Beach and pool were fairly quiet.

Many thanks to the owners for having such a wonderful place. The condo is well maintained, clean with everything you will need for a great vacation making us feel at home. The condo building is well maintained from pool, painting and gardening. Everyone is polite and ready to assist you. Great condo, people and only a few miles from Puerto Vallarta by bus or taxi.

Dear Ms. George,

Thank you for sharing your Puerto Vallarta summer home with us Labor Day weekend. As psychologists and social workers, it was really important for us to find a quiet location to relax for our weekend girl's getaway. Your property afforded us the ideal location to spend a few days to laugh, shop, eat and decompress. The beach was quiet, staff incredibly helpful and the rooms were clean and extremely spacious. The kitchen well equiped with every utensil a person could need or want and the deck and lounge chairs were a dream come true. Given the size and location of the property, we were truly blown away by the price (even off season). Thank you again for your attentive and accomodating ways.
